Rick is the author of Econ-Art: Divorcing Art from Science in Modern Economics (Pluto Press, 1999), "Evaluating the Historiography of the Great Depression: Explanation or Single Theory Driven?" (Journal of Economic Methodology, 2005), "Economic History as it is and Should be" (Journal of Socio-Economics, 2006), and "Classifying Heterodoxy" (Journal of Philosophical Economics, 2008). The latter paper, presented at the 2006 AHE conference, outlines the need for a variety of complementary types of heterodox economics. Rick's latest work is The Causes of Economic Growth: Interdisciplinary Perspectives, in press with Springer.
